Our Mission

My name is Taylor Ruthazer. I started this club in order to help support Save the Sound and protect the community that I grew up in and love.

As part of the effort to protect this precious resource, we organize meet-ups where we walk the local beaches and pick up garbage that washes in from the Sound. In the warmer months, we go out on paddle boards to get closer to the marshes where we gather the trash in the hard to reach places.

In order to support these efforts and help the sound to be the cleanest it can be, we are selling these Pura Vida bracelets that feature the colors of Save the Sound.

100% of the profit goes directly to Save The Sound.

The mission of Save the Sound is to protect and improve the land, air, and water of the Long Island Sound and Connecticut. We use legal and scientific expertise and bring people together to achieve results that benefit our environment for current and future generations.
